Dr Steve Broad

With over 18 years of emergency medicine experience, Dr Steve Broad brings extensive clinical expertise to Springfield Central’s emergency-specialist–led urgent care service. A Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, he has worked across major Queensland hospitals, as well as regional and remote sites such as Bundaberg, Cairns, and Mt Isa.

Dr Broad also has international experience from St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin and previously served as Director of the Mater Private Hospital Emergency Department for three years. He has a keen interest in sports medicine, occupation-related injuries, and perioperative care, and is passionate about applying his broad clinical experience to deliver high-quality, patient-centered urgent care in both metropolitan and regional settings.

Dr Broad is committed to providing the Springfield community with fast, expert emergency care - focusing on clear communication, empathy, and delivering the right care when it’s needed most.
