Intravenous Fluids
Intravenous fluids, or IV fluids, deliver fluids and electrolytes directly into a vein.
SmartCare UrgentCare may prescribe this treatment when vomiting, poor fluid intake, illness, heat exposure or physical activity has caused mild-to-moderate dehydration.
Our team can organise blood and urine testing, both available onsite, to assess the cause and severity of your symptoms and help guide the type, amount and rate of fluid provided.
Iron Infusions
Iron infusions deliver iron directly into a vein to help replenish low iron stores and can be provided as a single treatment or as part of an ongoing care plan.
They may be recommended when iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anaemia is causing fatigue, weakness, dizziness or other symptoms, as well as when iron tablets are not suitable.

Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) Infusions
Intravenous immunoglobulin, also called IVIG, is a concentrated mix of antibodies made from plasma for immune modulation.
It may be prescribed for selected immune deficiencies and immune-mediated conditions and is usually part of an established specialist treatment plan.

Zoledronic Acid Infusions (ZAI)
Zoledronic acid (ZAI) is an intravenous medication used to treat certain bone conditions, including osteoporosis and other disorders that weaken bone strength.
It is given as a slow infusion through a vein, as a planned treatment after medical assessment. Before treatment, SmartCare UrgentCare may arrange on-site blood tests to check kidney function and calcium levels.
