You are seen by a specialist in acute and urgent care — not a GP providing weekend cover.
Onsite CT, X-Ray, and Pathology
If your condition requires imaging or blood tests, these are available during the same visit. A weekend GP cannot X-ray a suspected fracture, CT scan an acute abdominal complaint, or run same-day pathology. At SmartCare UrgentCare, you get answers the same day — not a referral to attend radiology on Monday.
No Appointment Needed

Public Holidays — We Are Open
SmartCare UrgentCare is open on Queensland public holidays when most GP clinics and medical centres are closed. This includes:

Defence and DVA — Weekend Access
ADF personnel and eligible DVA White Card holders can access SmartCare UrgentCare on weekends and public holidays. ADF personnel should call 1800IMSICK (1800 467 425) to obtain a Defence Approval Number (DAN) before attending. The facility fee is waived for eligible Defence and veteran patients.

SmartCare UrgentCare is a private billing clinic. The same consultation fees apply on weekends and public holidays as on weekdays — there is no additional weekend surcharge. A Medicare rebate applies for eligible cardholders. Many onsite imaging and pathology services are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients.
